IT PROJECT MANAGER

Role and Responsibilities

Interact with various departments via marketing, sales, recruiters, accounts and administration ensuring complete information flow to help management maintain high-level of process compliance towards quality delivery.

Analyze the company’s business, operating procedures, estimated growth looking beyond the current technology or procedures to discover the true nature of the business activity and recommend methods based-on existing market trend to devise the most effective operational workflow.

Develop roadmap and strategic business plans for flagship Information Technology projects.

Identify KRA and define strategies to apply manpower driving towards results; forecast the schedules and budgets for the projects; maintain quality resource pool to cater clients in various industries.

Gather business requirements and develop use cases.

Engage with business to collect the requirements, get approvals and work with developers and testers to deliver the requirements on time.

Provide ongoing technical and functional support to Clients by providing problem resolutions; application system information and research into suspected problems.

Define requirements, perform data analysis, design, develop, implement and enhance customized applications for office operations; modify existing applications to meet user’s changing needs.

Perform process re-engineering, GAP Analysis, documentation using MS OFFICE.

Identify business issues and solution requirements, related benefits and develop innovative solutions to business-problems and processes leverage technology to provide efficiency improvements.

Plan, co-coordinate and implement training/development programs and Competency mapping process.

Recommend and install new systems and train personnel in application.

Participate in the development and presentation of proposals.

Travel 50% to client locations.

TOOLS REQUIRED:

Requirements Management Tools – ERP SAP/Sybase Power Designer, Rational Rose, Requisite Pro.

Defect Management/Testing Tools – JIRA, HP Quality Center, LoadRunner.

Business Modeling Tools – MS Visio, Erwin

Project Management tool – Microsoft Project, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Tableau

SDLC Methodologies – Waterfall, Rational Unified Process (RUP), Agile-SCRUM.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION AND MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS

Master’s Degree in Information Technology or Information Assurance or Equivalent and three years of experience (OR)

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science; Engineering or Equivalent and six years of experience.
